One week ago today The Nati Disc Golf put on the first ever PAR2 Challenge presented by Prodigy Disc. Over 90 people showed up for the release of the Pa1 & Pa4 in the 750 Plastic. The course was built for a putter round. 12 holes ranging from 80' - 150'. Andrew Derr took home first prize and a Prodigy Bag filled with Prodigy discs with a 24. Second place was a small Prodigy Bag filled with discs going to a round of 25 by Chad Ryan.
The highlight for many was the 2 hour clinic put on by 3x USDGC Champion Will Schusterick. Will is a class act and gave instructions in a way that everyone could understand. Covering everything from grip, to alignment, core strength, and how to get that power that we all could use. I have been playing for about 25 years and I still took something from the clinic to improve my game. Throughout the day Will represented the sport like none other. Never turning an ear to someone that was asking for advice, never denying someone an autograph, or that photo opportunity with one of the sports best. The Nati can never thank you enough Will and we hope to see you again soon! Next time dinner is on you though! lol We also need to send some thanks out to a few others for making this event possible. Shaun Demeter and Sammy Shaheen thank you for helping us spearhead the PAR2 Challenge. It was an honor for us to help Prodigy get this event off to a great start. David Greenwell thank you for taking the time out to help us as well. It is always an honor to have one of the greats visit The Nati. Keep Calm & Disc On Jason
