My life and Disc Golf:

My name is Joe Sizemore spent my whole life playing as many sports as I could; I have always been very competitive in whatever I do.  In high school I played a little baseball but primarily football. My cousin introduced me to the sport back in my JR year of high school. I grew up playing Mt. Airy and Heritage. When I began I was not very good. It took some time to get comfortable with the grip, the steps and trying to find the appropriate discs to work for my game.

I tested the waters in my first ever event at The Queen City Ams in 2013, I did terrible! I then decided that I need to surround myself with better golfers in order to get better. I then spent the next several months playing morning and weekends with lots of great golfers and developing great friendships along with the way.

The following year I got my first two wins at the Nati’s event The Oil City Classic and The Flying Pig; I was instantly hooked and determined to get better. I have enjoyed traveling and playing as many PDGA events as possible. I look forward to helping out with events and clinics. I am extremely thankful for all the support from everyone in the cincy disc golfers community and happy to represent The Nati to the best of my ability.
