My life and disc golf Im 12 years old and currently attend St.Pius elementary school in Edgewood KY. I have 3 sisters Olivia, Laney and Aleah. Besides disc golf I play on my school basketball team, Rockets AAU and the KY Kids baseball team. The first time I remember seeing a disc golf basket was at AJ Jolly park. We didn't have any discs but my dad had tennis balls in his truck, so we played about 4 holes by throwing tennis balls at them. A couple weeks later we went hiking at Mt. Airy forest and saw another course so a week later we borrowed some discs a went back to Airy and played. Once we found out it was free from then on every Sunday instead of hiking we played a different course. I think I've played around 80 different courses in the last 3 years. In 2014 I started playing in tournaments. In 2015 I was lucky enough to finish 3rd in 13under Worlds Championship in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The thing I like most about tournaments is all of the people I've gotten to meet. I feel like I have a ton of new friends just from playing disc golf. Hopefully in the next year I can keep improving my game and get to make more new friends. |
